Welcome Fellow Color Noodler!
Let's talk about spaghetti! What does spaghetti have to do with paint and color, you ask. Let me explain...
When making spaghetti, you have a choice. Leave the noodles big or break them in two. I break mine in two because I think it's easier to eat that way. The task of sorting out those long and entwined strings of spaghetti just to get one good bite can be overwhelming and messy even when you think have the right tools.

My intent is to break down the basics - and not so basics - of color so you understand color better. Just like breaking spaghetti in two, we'll make color less overwhelming and easier to manage. We'll noodle on everything and anything paint and color!

As a visual artist, color has always been my prime interest. I work in transparent watercolor, and so you can see that color relationships are of the utmost importance.
I look at works of art from this point of view. Color expresses the emotions so beautifully.
Last night my husband and I went to see the newest show (OVO) created by Cirque du Soleil. The designers created a stunning palette of colors for this production. The yellow and blue striped big top was a marvelous contrast in color and design to all the historic buildings in Montreal's Old Port. We walked slowly as we left the performance taking in all the lights of the historic section of Old Montreal - color and light everywhere.
It is a pleasure to meet someone who is interested in color.
