I'm so excited to see you blog! Yippee! You can count on me to be a devoted reader!!!
The dogsight info is sooo interesting. I had always just assumed the black and white thing. Maybe I can do some experiments with my pup. But I'm not sure if we should teach him about colors - he's already too smart for his own good.
Luke is a cutie. Looks smart, too.

Shocking pink was huge in the '60s. Jackie Kennedy wore it. One bit of trivia is that the actress Marisa Berenson (still around) is the granddaughter of Elsa Schiaparelli. I could see a shocking pink dining room with lots of mirrors and a white lacquer ceiling, no?

As a visual artist, color has always been my prime interest. I work in transparent watercolor, and so you can see that color relationships are of the utmost importance.
I look at works of art from this point of view. Color expresses the emotions so beautifully.
Last night my husband and I went to see the newest show (OVO) created by Cirque du Soleil. The designers created a stunning palette of colors for this production. The yellow and blue striped big top was a marvelous contrast in color and design to all the historic buildings in Montreal's Old Port. We walked slowly as we left the performance taking in all the lights of the historic section of Old Montreal - color and light everywhere.
It is a pleasure to meet someone who is interested in color.
Barbara Montreal,Canada

Thank you for your reply, Lori. It's your inspiration piece entry that made me realize how I'd chosen the paint colours in my home. I never made the link before and now that I have, I feel a lot less stressed about making a "mistake" choosing a colour. It's very freeing to realize that so far, my gut has steered me right for wall colour. Now, if it could only work on the rest of the room elements...

So, a big thank you for your blog. Really looking forward to learning more about the process.
